It is a profound achievement that the centre has attained the ISO 9001:2008 QMS certification in management standards on the world best practices.
Message from the Quality Management Representative
On behalf of the KAGRC ISO steering committee, we are pleased that KAGRC has been certified on ISO 9001:2008.KAGRC therefore becomes part of the elite group of global institutions that embrace best management practices for efficient and effective provision of quality services.
The journey towards ISO certification was not an easy one. To make it successful KAGRC contracted a consultant firm, Motivator Enterprises Limited that guided the centre throughout the entire process. We are happy that the guidance given by consultants from this firm enabled us to complete the ISO certification process within the anticipated time.
All KAGRC staff participated in the ISO certification process, ISO steering committee comprising of all operational area heads was formed to spearhead the process. The committee through the guidance of the consultant reviewed all KAGRC internal operations; identified key and supporting processes and developed appropriate procedures. These procedures were then subjected to rigorous audits to ensure they meet the requirements of the ISO 9001:2008 standard.
To verify proper installation of the Quality Management System and the centre’s commitment to continuously improve it, a certification audit was conducted by SGS Kenya. The centre fulfilled the requirements of the ISO 9001:2008 standard and it was recommended for certification.
There shall be biannual quality surveillance audits conducted by SGS on the management system to ensure our ongoing commitment towards maintaining and continuously improve the Quality Management System is sustained.
ISO 9001:2008 certification demonstrates our commitments to continuously provide quality services that meet and exceed the expectations of our customers and stakeholders at all times.
